New Samsung Galaxy phone with 4 cameras due in October?

Just a couple of months after the launch of the Galaxy Note 9, Samsung is gearing up to introduce yet another Galaxy device. Although details are slim, an official invite posted on the company’s website suggests that the device could be a new Galaxy phone with four cameras.

“Samsung’s newest Galaxy device is bringing more ways to express yourself than ever before. Capture the fun with Samsung as the company celebrates the launch of the new device with A Galaxy Event on October 11, 2018,” Samsung said on its website.

Last week, China-based leakster Ice universe suggested on Twitter that Samsung was planning a new device with four cameras. He also stated in subsequent tweets that all of the cameras would be placed at the device’s back.

Get ready for 4x fun!

The rumour mill has been buzzing since then. And, the “4x fun” tagline mentioned in the official invite has also hinted at a new Galaxy device with four cameras.

Ice universe had claimed that this four-camera device would neither be the Galaxy S10 nor the widely-speculated Galaxy F foldable smartphone.

It’s still unclear if the mysterious device will be part of Samsung’s existing device lineup or it will usher the launch of a new series.

Is it Galaxy A9?

However, SamMobile cited “sources” saying that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A9 would sport four cameras at its back.

The publication also reported that the Galaxy A9 would be available in 64GB and 128GB storage options with blue, pink, black and gold colour options. There could also be larger variant, dubbed the Galaxy A9+.

All speculation aside, one thing is for sure that Samsung’s first-ever four-camera device is around the corner. It’s also quite evident that the company is determined to meet the mounting challenges from rivals head on by introducing new technologies.

We are not sure if it’s a new camera or a four-camera smartphone. Would you be interested in trying it out if it’s the later? Hit the comments section below to share what you think.

However, we do have Huawei P20 Pro, the first tripe-rear camera smartphone, available in the market.
